Acquisition of Specialised Fire Services (SFS)
Spectrum Fire has successfully completed the acquisition of Specialised Fire Services (SFS) in Victoria. SFS is located in Melbourne and is a total fire service business with around 3,000 sites under contract.
SFS provides a full range of services across all disciplines including a portable workshop. SFS is run by Paul Stanley and Frank Saris who have owned the business for the last 6 years. Prior to that SFS was part of the Total Fire Group.
This is a significant addition to the Spectrum Fire business and in particular provides a substantial service base to compliment the existing business in Victoria. SFS provides experience, skills and expertise in the service segment that will help ensure Spectrum Fire continues its strong growth in fire service. SFS will work closely with the Spectrum Fire team at Hallam to ensure Spectrum Fire has an unbeatable combination and offering in Victoria.
Paul, Frank and the rest of the team at SFS are committed to continuing and further developing the business under the Spectrum Fire umbrella.
SFS represents another significant step in the development of the national Spectrum Fire business and reinforces an existing strong presence in Victoria.

NTESS Fire Consultants win NT Telstra Business Award
The Telstra Business Awards program was introduced by Telstra in 1992 to recognise the achievements and enterprising spirit of small businesses across Australia. This year’s awards were heavily contested by over 4,500 nominations. There are 5 award categories, with the Panasonic Australia Business Award open to businesses with between 20 and 50 employees. During a star studded event in August, NTESS was awarded the 2007 Northern Territory winner of the Panasonic Australia Business Award. NTESS Service Manager Frank Farley accepted the award on behalf of the entire NTESS Team, thanking customers for their strong support and loyalty over the past 10 years.
NTESS was acquired by Spectrum Fire earlier this year, CEO Frank Scamarcia congratulated the NTESS achievement saying "the NTESS business is a high quality operation and this award is great recognition of the effort and customer focus of the entire team".

Acquisition of Northern Territory Essential Systems Service
Spectrum Fire has successfully completed the acquisition of the Northern Territory Essential Systems Service Pty Ltd (NTESS). NTESS is located in Darwin with an office in Alice Springs. NTESS began in 1998 by Paul LeMesurier and Frank Farley with a focus on servicing fire protection systems in the Northern Territory. NTESS holds many significant contracts including Voyages Resorts and BHP Billiton – Groote Eylandt to name but a few and have built their business by focusing on providing industry leading levels of customer service. Paul, Frank and the rest of the team at NTESS are committed to further developing the business under the Spectrum umbrella. NTESS represents another significant step in the development of the Spectrum Fire business and provides an important presence in the Northern Territory.

FireVu Agreement
Spectrum Fire has signed an agreement with Detector Technologies (D-TEC) for the sale and distribution of the FireVu smoke detection products in Australia. FireVu products represent a significant leap in video based detection technology and places Spectrum at the forefront of detection solutions in Australia. Acquisition of Lewis Fire Protection
Acquisition of Lewis Fire Protection Spectrum Fire has successfully completed the acquisition of the Lewis Fire Protection Group of companies in Queensland. Lewis Fire Protection (LFP) is a regionally based Fire Service only business with offices in Townsville, Mt Isa and Brisbane. LFP began in 1997 by Tony Lewis and has grown continuously since and has become highly recognised and respected in the industry. LFP holds many significant contracts including Spotless (Defence), MIM Mines and Origin Energy. They have a dedicated and skilled workforce and are focused on providing excellent customer service. Tony, his wife Joanne, and the rest of the team at Lewis are committed to further developing the business under the Spectrum umbrella. LFP represents another significant step in the development of the Spectrum Fire business and provides an important presence in the growing central and north Queensland market.

Acquisition of Rapid Pipe.
Spectrum Fire has successfully completed the acquisition of Rapid Pipe in Queensland. Rapid Pipe is a pipe fabrication business located in Brisbane, providing high quality, fast turnaround fabrication services to fire sprinkler installers and contractors. They are a major supplier to Independent Fire and include many other fire companies as clients. Rapid Pipe is lead by Mr. Henry Soroka. Henry commenced his career in the industry as a fire sprinkler fitter in Adelaide and later moved to fabrication in Brisbane. The Rapid Pipe business was established 15 years ago.

Board Appointment
Mr. Cliff Britton has been appointed to the Board of Spectrum Fire in the capacity of Non-Executive Director. Cliff has had extensive experience in the building and construction industry, including senior management positions with Tyco, FFE and Chubb. Currently, Cliff is consulting to Downer Engineering on major engineering and infrastructure projects. This role is vital as it provides an independent perspective on all business related decisions for Spectrum.

Acquisition of Essential Fire Systems.
Spectrum Fire has successfully completed the acquisition of Essential Fire Systems Pty Ltd in NSW. Essential Fire Systems (EFS) is a significant Fire Service business located at Castle Hill in Sydney and is one of the most highly regarded fire service businesses in Australia. EFS also has a sub-branch at Gosford on the NSW Central Coast. EFS brings high quality experience, skills and expertise in the service area and will work closely with the established Spectrum Fire NSW business to provide a complete range of services to the NSW market. Essential is lead by Mr. Jim Ross and Mr. Graham Ross. Jim and Graham have over 20 years experience each in the fire protection industry and started EFS in 2000 after various careers with Metropolitan Fire, Wormald and Tyco.

Spectrum Fire has successfully completed the acquisition of Fireguard in Queensland. Fireguard is predominantly a Fire Service business located in Brisbane and one of the most highly regarded fire service businesses in Australia. Together with the recent acquisition of Independent Fire, Spectrum Fire now delivers a market leading capability in Queensland. Fireguard is lead by Mr. Kevin Bray. Kevin has over 30 years experience in the fire protection industry and started Fireguard over 20 years ago after a career with Fire Fighting Enterprises.
